THE SEQUEL TO THE BETWEEN TIMES - BOOK 3 OF THE DIVIDE - DAWN RISES BRINGS US THROUGH THE DARK DAYS AND A POSSIBLE FUTURE WORLD - A DYSTOPIAN CAUTIONARY SERIES THAT WILL KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF - NOW AVAILABLE IN AUDIO
Dawn Rises the sequel to The Divide Series brings us hope after fifteen years of despair. When all rights were taken away from women, children, and anyone who was not rich and white. The suburbs and small towns destroyed, the rich walled themselves into the upper town with clean water, electricity, heat, domes that kept the city air clean, and pushed everyone else into the lower towns to live in tenements designed to house multiple families, though women were no longer allowed out of the house or even to meet, and men of different races no longer mixed.
But all had the same fate, at six the boys were all taken away to apprentice, and at fifteen into the military. If they survived fifteen years in the military most were given a wife and a job in the company owned factories.
But a prophecy was to be fulfilled according to Rebecca’s words as she died for to give them a chance, that a girl child would be born who would be able to draw in the magic that would free the world.
How and what happens is in Dawn Rises the sequel to this dystopian series. It might be a future we face. It is a cautionary tale.
The author gives hope for humanity, at least some of humanity.
Dawn Rises: Book Three if the Divide
This third book in the dystopian series The Divide, tells the story of the fulfilling of the Prophecy and the struggles of Jewell and father Ben along with friends old and new to escape the deplorable life and conditions they had been given. The story is full of strength and focus and portrays what love and honor can conquer against evil and corruption. The author writes with passion and care for humanity that makes this book one that draws you into it until the last word. I could hardly put the book down until I was finished. I highly recommend the entire Divide series.
WHAT HAPPENED TO CRAZY ED THAT MADE HIM SIT IN THE DIRTY ALLEY STARING AT THE WALL DAY AFTER DAY? WHERE DID HE DISAPPEAR TO? THE OTHER SIDE A SHORT PARANORMAL LOVE STORY BY PATRICIA MORAN AND MARTA MORAN BISHOP
The people in the neighborhood called him Crazy Ed. He sat day after day on an ashcan in the alley staring at the dirty brick wall. Most didn’t know where he had come from or why he was there, but Ed was a quiet man with silver hair, and a sad expression on his face, so they left him alone. Few noticed him and most paid no attention what-so-ever to him.
Once in a while if a spare moment presented itself they wondered who he was, until one day Ed disappeared.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fluid, Charming and Bright
This is a small story of Ed. But more than love story of Ed and Isle, it is another vehicle created by Marta after the In Between Times which is meant to transport you to a different and hopeful world. While the story is to short for one to thoroughly enjoy the beauty of Marta's writing, like Ed, we readers regret coming back to this side of the wall as the story ends. Enjoyable read..

I love this book!! It is wonderful reading with your children and grandchildren, but you will love it for yourself. The delightful prose in this book is guaranteed to transport you back to the days of your own childhood! I highly recommend it!
5.0 out of 5 stars Magical...
Marta Moran Bishop is stunningly talented. This wonderful book is not only charming, but it holds a bit of magic on each page ... the kind of magic of days gone by. The beautifully rendered prose urges us to remember, to close our eyes and revisit slower days, childhood days, when there were no cell phones or computers to distract us from seeing the wonders in nature and the world of make-believe. It's the perfect gift for anyone who grew up with a rich imagination. I believe this collection of poems should be cherished and placed on a shelf with other works that evoke the spirit of childhood wonders. Highly recommended!

Keeping the Upper Paw: A Cat's Guide to Training Your Human is a humorous look at life, humans, and living with humans through the eyes of a cat. Both Ms. Moran and Ms. Bishop describe their parts in the writing of this book as the typists
This Little Book is Purrrrfect!
This is an adorable interpretation of the cat world, and I found myself smiling through most of it. Having been owned by many cats throughout my life, I truly related to this cute book. I’ve immediately gifted it to two of my “cat-people” friends, and suggest you do the same. Thanks for a smiling read
“THIS IS A WONDERFUL READ THAT CAPTURED MY HEART ON THE VERY FIRST PAGE! VERY INTENSE, EMOTIONAL, HEARTBREAKING, STORY WRITTEN WITH THE HORSES AS THE CHARACTERS.” THE NURSE MARE'S FOAL - BY MARTA MORAN BISHOP
The Nurse Mare's Tale is in a way the prequel to Dinky:The Nurse Mare's Foal, as it tells the story of Dinky's mother. This lovely story is told from the viewpoint of two aging nurse
mares about to give birth, and the trials they go through. It tells us of Sadie and her friend Nellie and is accompanied with charming dialogue (both speaking and thinking). The plight of these animals is described in empathetic detail.
After enduring years of breeding and loss, the older nurse mares must face the auction with the promise of being slaughtered, as they have become too old for breeding and thus unable to be rented out as nurse mares to feed the foals of the high-dollar mares.
Do they accept their fate, or will there be another ending for the nurse mares that have given everything and received little in return?
The ending may surprise you. It is a poignant story that will rip your heart out and put you back together again.
5.0 out of 5 stars the nurse mare's tale
This is a wonderful read that captured my heart on the very first page! Very intense, emotional, heartbreaking, story written with the horses as the characters. Very interesting story, made me cry and at times laugh. This story is written with love and caring about a very real issue, the mistreatment of horses, I felt every emotion the characters felt throughout the story. The narrator on this audible is fantastic! Read with such emotion, I felt I was part of the story. I loved this audible and it is a must listen! Whether you read the book or listen to the audible, you won't be disappointed. Thank you Marta Moran Bishop!

I DON’T RECALL THE LAST TIME A BOOK HAS TOUCHED MY HEART THE WAY DINKY’S STORY DID. – AWARD-WINNING – DINKY: THE NURSE MARE’S FOAL BY MARTA MORAN BISHOP
Winnie Award Winner at the Equus Film Festival. Best Equine Rescue book.Dinky: The Nurse Mare’s Foal is the story of one little foals fight for survival after being taken from his mother within hours of his birth. Dinky, takes us on a poignant trip through the heart and mind of an animal, who was born for the sole purpose of producing milk in the mare. In the elite world of horses, Dinky was considered a by-product, a ‘junk foal.’Dinky’s story will resonate with animal lovers, as well as anyone who has adopted. Although a horse, his story has been called an adoption story. The reader can follow him through the heartbreak, cruelty, loneliness, and finally to happiness in his forever home. His story is based on true events. Each event from the moment the author met Dinky actually happened, though it is the author’s interpretation of what he might have been thinking and feeling during the occasions described in his story. His early life which is unknown has been fictionalized by the author and constructed through research and imagination. There are many wonderful animal rescue leagues, many are very empathic to these young animals, though some are not. Since Ms. Bishop has no knowledge of Dinky’s early days she used the latter to enhance the strength of his story. It will break your heart, open your eyes, lift you up, and teach you much about horses. It is suitable for all ages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Endearing Coming-of-Age Tale
"Dinky: The Nurse Mare's Foal" by Marta Moran Bishop is a unique, heartfelt coming-of-age story told from the perspective of Dinky, a foal born to a nurse mare. Dinky comes across as an engaging character whose life's odyssey highlights some of the abuses in the horse-breeding industry. Dinky's mother is a nurse mare with uncertain bloodlines which dooms her to nurse the offspring of high-dollar show or racing mares. So she can nurse, she must first give birth to her own foal that will be considered a disposable byproduct.
The story begins when Dinky reminisces about his journey from birth to a yearling. He was born in springtime when his mother only had a couple of days to teach him about his fate and how to become a part of the herd so he is adopted. As his mother forewarns, Dinky is separated from her after just a couple of days. To survive, he must learn to drink milk from a dirty pail. On his year's journey, Dinky meets other foals like himself and soon learns about the duality of humans, who can be cruel or loving. Always in the back of his mind, he fears that he will be auctioned off for his hide or food. If he is is lucky though, he will be adopted by a loving family.
