Before retiring France Hunter decides to go to the place where she found her first new
species of owl: The Amazon. Her group follows a well know angler, John Sinclair, and his team, along with a reporter who wants to do a story on Hunter.

Once arriving at the site, Sinclair leaves to go further up the river. He has a show to record and is hoping to catch an even larger fish this time.

Hunter, and the group with her, run into a gruesome nightmare with the satellite phone
destroyed and one man fighting for life. Sinclair is not due to pick them up for another week.

Will they survive?

The Angler and the Owl is an adventurous novel with a bit of mystery and romance added into the mix.

France Hunter and her team go on a trip to study a new species of owls. Tagging along for the trip is TV host John Sinclair.

Sparks fly between France and John as the trip continues. However, they’re briefly separated when John and his team set out on a different path to film for his show. While John’s away, trouble looms for France and the rest of the team. An animal attack on a crew member along with no communication to the outside world leaves the team in a perilous situation.

Meanwhile, John can’t help but shake the feeling that something’s wrong. Yet, he’s torn between work and France.

Will John reach France and the team in time before it’s too late?

Overall, I enjoyed the story. I loved how the characters were owl watchers and nature lovers, that’s what made the story for me. The author does a good job of describing the scenery, making you think you’re traveling with the group.

I liked the budding relationship with France and John, they’re two characters who fit well together. The supporting characters of Doc, Tony, and Andy made the story by providing humor as they led the expedition and tried to play matchmaker.

The story offered lots of adventure along with mystery.
